Discover the Mining Legacy of Aljustrel - lunch included
Ideal for families and small Groups Aljustrel Mining Park: A Legacy Carved in the Depths. One of the oldest active mining territories in the world. The Aljustrel Mining Park is the sum of many eras—a place where history, heritage, identity, landscape, research, and science converge. Above all, it is made of people. People who carry within them a vast soul; a steady ground in a land of depths. It is a legacy of life experiences that stretches from the Chalcolithic through the Roman Period to our present, always with eyes set on the future. It is the result of the effort, labor, and dedication of so many throughout time. It is the heartbeat of a community that knew how to challenge itself, bringing life forth from the bowels of the earth and leaving indelible marks both on the surface and deep within.
